If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it. ~Toni Morrison
Last week we had a power outage at home that was going to last a few hours so monkey and I jumped in her truck, turned up the music, sang along and drove to check out a new beach.
Gone fishing
We went to Oceanside. The pier here is such a long one, the longest i have walked on for sure and from the beginning to the end there were fishing poles lined up on both sides. Right in the middle of the pier there was a snack and tackle shop to support the fisherman in both snackies for them and the fish. I wonder what they were fishing for and with a hundred or so people fishing in the same area, if they ever catch anything.
Lifes a beach, thank goodness for that breeze!
The beach was really popular too. All these people and of course us, flocking to the coast to cool down and take a break from the inland heat. The ocean breeze is so magical.

In surrendering to the circumstance of the power outage and not stressing that i couldn't work (no computer)for a few hours, i found that i was actually thankful for it. Thankful for the power outage that gave us time together and an adventure that we would have otherwise missed.

Life is SO good!

I've always wondered too about the fishing on the pier??? And who eats those super tiny fish anyway??
The people on the beach pic...I can imagine the sounds...the laughing, birds, water.
The smell of the salt water...it's all good.

    Life is very good.
