The music man and i just had the most amazing weekend filled with surprise visits from dear friends and great music.
After finishing a short work week because of the holiday we kicked off our weekend with a wonderful afternoon visiting with family friends. While preparing for their visit we found out that a couple of long time buddies of ours that we hadn't seen in years were in town. So after our amazing dinner and visit we went and saw his band as they played at a local venue. After their show we left and visited another friend whose band was playing else where but again close to us. On Sunday everyone came over and we got to catch up, hang out and even take a trip down memory lane.
The quote above makes me smile as it is so true. We now live quite a ways from our friends yet days like last weekend give us the reminder that no matter where we go in life our friends are always there. Life is SO good!
